About us
Cape is the fruit of a shared passion for producing wines of impeccable quality, where every detail counts. Our wines reflect a unique place, shaped by centuries of winemaking expertise and enriched by contemporary oenological knowledge.
The Ankaran terroir, with its limestone and marl soils, gives the grapes a deep minerality and good water-holding capacity, essential elements for quality viticulture.
In choosing five grape varieties, we wanted to create bold blends, harmoniously combining traditional Slovenian and international varieties.
The result? An expressive wine, where each bottle tells the story of an exceptional terroir and an uncompromising passion for excellence.
Recognition
The Vinakoper team, an emblematic name in Slovenian viticulture, whose experience and know-how are at the heart of this ambitious project.
Alongside them, Nicolas Vivas, a renowned external consultant to the wine industry, brings his expertise and discerning eye to guide every stage in the creation of this unique wine.
Together, they form a passionate team determined to bring out the best in this exceptional terroir, while respecting winemaking traditions and innovating to produce an exceptional wine.
Sustainable culture
Driven by a vision of respect for the environment, we have chosen to cultivate our vineyards according to the principles of organic farming.
With the Slovenia Green Destination label, we are committed every day to a sustainable future, where nature and the terroir are preserved for future generations. We exclude the use of chemical products, preferring natural treatments. To reinforce the natural balance of our vineyards, we also apply the principles of biodynamics, a system that respects nature's cycles and encourages biodiversity.
This approach enables us to guarantee wines that are not only of the highest quality, but also produced with total respect for our environment.
Cape
Born on the heights of Debeli Rtič, shaped by the sea, the wind and time, Cape is much more than a wine: it is the expression of a place, a demanding know-how and a deep commitment to nature.
Made from a precise blend of noble grape varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah and Refosco - Cape reveals a powerful, elegant and racy personality. Carefully vinified and aged for long periods in barrel, it embodies the balance between tradition, innovation and terroir.
